What does Gate 59 mean in Human Design?

Ra Uru Hu taught the 59 as a genetic role gate: an imperative to bond by breaking down barriers until union happens. He read its fertility broadly, as the capacity to create a child and equally the capacity to make any intimacy productive, a friendship or a partnership. Each of its six lines is an archetype of how we court, from the direct approach of the first line onwards.

Its harmonic partner is the emotional Gate 6, and the Channel of Mating (6-59) is, in his words, the one direct wire linking Solar Plexus and Sacral. With a defined Sacral, intimacy chosen in response can be correct; with an open one it tends to arrive at the wrong time with the wrong person.

What role does Gate 59 play in the 2027 mutation?

In the 2027 Mutation Seminar Ra described stage one as the pair 55 and 59, mirror gates on the wheel and one arm of the Sleeping Phoenix cross. The 55 carries something new; the 59 carries the ending of the old. He stressed that stage one completes as a change in the 59 alone, not yet in the channel, which alters how the sexual role itself is lived.

He framed this as an evolutionary handover, with human reproductive capacity waning so that a new form can follow, and he measured it in centuries: the first such children in 2027, no dates for the stages after that. It is a teaching about evolution, not a medical forecast.

What is stage two, the death of desire?

Stage two is the 59 acting on the 6. On Tape 5A Ra explained that the 59 cannot fully change until the 6 does, because the 6 conditions its availability. Once the altered 59 transforms the 6, the link from the 6 to its opposite, the 36, breaks: desire stays with humans, and what remains between Raves is an intimacy that is not physical.
