The human design gates are the 64 points of the bodygraph, each one mapped to a hexagram of the I Ching. This page explains the idea briefly and lists the gates that carry the 2027 story.
What are the gates in Human Design?
In Human Design the zodiac wheel is cut into 64 segments. Each segment is a gate named after one I Ching hexagram, sits in one of the nine centers and has six lines. A planet standing in a gate at birth, or at the design moment 88 degrees of Sun earlier, activates it. When both gates at the ends of a channel are active, the two centers between them become defined.
Which gates matter for 2027?
Ra Uru Hu taught that humanity has lived under the Right Angle Cross of Planning since 1610, made of gates 37, 40, 9 and 16. In 2027, by his account, the global cycle moves to the Sleeping Phoenix: gates 55, 59, 20 and 34.
The center of the story is gate 55 and its codon partner 49, plus the channel 19-49 that Ra expected to stop connecting at gate 19.
Why is gate 6 on the list?
Gate 6, Friction, is a solar plexus gate and belongs to the Eden cross. In the mutation Ra described, the second stage runs from the 59 into the 6 and reshapes intimacy, which is why the 6 sits on this list next to the 59.
